Most cold chain hardware is a white label from a catalogue. Ours is not.
Walk any logistics trade show and you will find the same box under a dozen different logos. We took the harder route: our own electronics, our own firmware, our own software, engineered and built in Norway for the coldest, roughest work there is.

Norwegian is not a marketing word. It is a standard.
"Made in Norway" is a registered trademark administered by Innovation Norway, the country's official trade promotion organisation. It designates products and services that are authentically Norwegian, and it is only granted to companies that meet strict criteria for origin, responsibility and sustainability.
That matters in our industry. When a tracker guards vaccines, blood products or a full reefer of food, "designed in Europe, assembled somewhere" is not an answer.

Quality, nature and responsible business
Norway is known for its natural beauty, for its commitment to responsible business practice and sustainability, and for high quality. The Made in Norway label was established to capitalise on these positive associations and enhance the competitiveness of Norwegian products and services on the international market.
For a cold-chain tracker, that matters twice over. Where a device is built decides who controls its supply chain, its data and its firmware. Emma is designed, engineered and assembled in Norway, inside the EEA, under European data rules.

Designed and made in Norway. Tested where the cold chain actually runs.
Five requirements, all of them audited
Our Emma solution qualifies
The label sets a different origin threshold per category. Our Emma Smart Tracker is a hockey-puck shaped cold chain monitor, a manufactured good, while Emma Cloud is our software solution. Both are made here.
At least 60 percent of manufacturing and raw material costs must have Norwegian origin.
An essential manufacturing step must take place in Norway.

At least 60 percent of the costs for developing and delivering the service must have Norwegian origin.
Built and hosted in Norway, inside the EEA.

Not made in China
Proudly designed and built tough in the land of cold climate and rugged landscape. The label is a shorthand for decisions we already made about the supply chain, the housing and the data.
Same shape. Very different origin.
Catalogue hardware rebranded by five vendors at once
No control of the bill of materials or firmware roadmap
Support chain that ends at a reseller
Data paths and component sourcing you cannot audit
Our own electronics, enclosure and firmware, from schematic to shipment
Essential manufacturing steps performed in Norway
Engineers you can call, in the same timezone as your cold chain
Traceable components, documented supply chain, EU data residency
Design, engineering and essential manufacturing
Certified, traceable temperature data
Recycled housing, built to be reused
