Semi truck coupled to a white refrigerated reefer trailer
Surfact for trailer tracking

Any reefer, smart in seconds.

No downtime and no workshop slot. Snap an Emma Smart Tracker to the inside of the reefer and it delivers pharma-grade temperature monitoring (ISO 17025, NIST) plus position straight away. Always on and connected like your phone: no hubs, no gateways, no IT project. The data is simply there, on your phone and computer.

Zero downtime

Snap it in. The trailer is smart.

Less than ten seconds from box to live trailer. No technician, no installation project, no trailer parked up waiting for a fitter.

  • Mounts to the inside wall of any reefer
  • Owned, rented and subcontracted units alike
  • Move it to the next trailer whenever you like
Meet Emma, the smart tracker

One puck per trailer. That is the whole install.

The Puck is always on and connected like your phone: temperature, location, light and shock, streamed live over 4G/5G. No hubs, no gateways, no IT project. The world's smartest cold-chain tracker, built tough in Norway.

The problem

Reefer visibility has always been sold as a project.

Wired telematics, a gateway per trailer, a read-out unit in the cab and a technician to put it all in. Then a contract that ties the data to the chassis, so the half of your capacity that is rented stays invisible.

Emma flips that around. One device, no install, no infrastructure. It belongs to the load and reports to the same software regardless of whose trailer it is riding in.

Telematics means downtime
Hard-wired reefer telematics needs a workshop slot, a technician and a trailer standing still. Every hour on the ramp is an hour not earning.
Read-outs cost more than the data
Printer rolls, download docks, licence tiers per trailer and an annual service contract. You end up paying most for the part that just moves numbers around.
Mixed fleets never match
Owned trailers, rented trailers, subcontractor units. One brand of box on some of them and nothing on the rest, so there is no single picture of the fleet.
Data arrives after the fact
If the temperature record only shows up when the trailer is back at the depot, you find out about the excursion when the load is already rejected.
Nothing to operate

One device on the wall. That is the whole install.

No hub in the cab, no wiring into the fridge unit, nothing for the driver to press or download at the end of the run.

01
Snap it inside the reefer
Peel, place, done. Emma mounts to the inside wall or the bulkhead of any trailer, owned, rented or subcontracted, in a matter of seconds.
02
It wakes up on its own
No pairing, no gateway, no cabling into the fridge unit. Emma connects over 4G/5G by itself and starts reporting temperature, position, light and shock.
03
Live on the map
Dispatch sees the trailer and the load temperature on the same screen, wherever it is, without calling the driver for a status.
04
Move it to the next trailer
Emma belongs to the load, not the chassis. Take it out and put it in the next unit, so utilisation follows the freight rather than the fleet list.
Data at your fingertips

Software simple enough that nobody needs training.

No read-out units, no download docks, no printer rolls. Open the app and the whole fleet is there: where every trailer is, what the load is doing, and what needs your attention right now.

  • Every trailer on one live map, no matter who owns it
  • Alerts before the load goes out of spec, not after
  • Temperature reports per trip, customer or period, on schedule
  • Open APIs into your TMS, so nobody re-keys anything

What it changes

Fleet-wide visibility without a fleet-wide project.

Cover the trailers you own, the ones you rent for the season and the ones your subcontractors bring, all in the same afternoon and the same screen.

No installation project
Nothing to wire, nothing to certify, nothing booked into the workshop. A fleet can be covered in an afternoon.
No expensive read-outs
No printers, no docks, no per-trailer hardware licences. The data is in your hand on a phone the moment it is recorded.
Works on rented capacity
Spot-hired trailers and subcontractor units get the same visibility as your own, for as long as you need it.
Claims settled with data
A continuous, time-stamped record per trip means a rejected load is a conversation about facts, not opinions.
