Advancing Global Connectivity: Surfact Begins Satellite Testing

Surfact and Sateliot team members standing together at Sateliot’s office in Barcelona during satellite connectivity testing, with an Earth-from-space background symbolizing global coverage.

At Surfact, we believe that smarter logistics start with smarter connectivity. As announced at the end of 2024 Surfact will be adding satellite connectivity to our Emma trackers. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that our journey toward satellite-powered global coverage is already well underway.

Tests are ongoing

This past week, members of our team joined forces with satellite IoT pioneers Sateliot in Barcelona to begin testing of our satellite-connected cold-chain trackers. These early tests mark a major milestone toward our vision of truly global connectivity—wherever cargo goes, we follow.

Working alongside Sateliot’s experts, we’ve begun exploring how our technology can stay connected even in the most remote and infrastructure-limited areas. Whether it’s deep sea routes or rural transport corridors, we’re setting the stage for accurate and reliable visibility across every step of the supply chain.

Progressing according to plan

“We’re incredibly excited about the progress so far and the road ahead. This collaboration brings us one step closer to making cargo truly talk—no matter where on the planet it is.” – Per Magne Helseth, CEO Surfact

A big thank-you to the Sateliot team for the warm welcome, technical collaboration, and shared ambition to redefine what’s possible in logistics connectivity.
